Is Disney Going to Make a Ghost Rider Movie

A Ghost Rider Series May Be Coming To Disney Plus

Marvel could be hinting that a Ghost Rider series is on its way to Disney Plus and the filing of a new LLC provided the biggest clue.

A new Marvel LLC listing is being taken as a potential hint that a new Ghost Rider series is coming to Disney Plus in the near future. While the LLC filing is not quite as obvious as some Disney Plus fans might hope, it appears there are some clues in the name that allowed some people to connect the dots.

As Disney Plus continues to populate the streaming service with Marvel superheroes, fans have been trying to figure out what might be next. In the next week, the animated series What If ...? will debut, though it will have fewer episodes on Disney Plus than initially planned because of the COVID-19 pandemic. After that run is finished, the next known series is Hawkeye, but it's possible that Ghost Rider could be following that up at some point further down the line.

The new Marvel LLC, according to Murphy's Multiverse, is a production company named "Richmond Street Productions LLC." The listing filed by Marvel says that it will be a direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming series, which certainly seems to indicate that whatever it is will eventually arrive on Disney Plus. While that name alone doesn't have ties to the Marvel universe, there is something nearby that might be the real hint.

Richmond Street in Brooklyn, New York is very close to the real-life Cypress Hills National Cemetery. In the comics, that cemetery is closely tied to Ghost Rider and the vengeance spirit's host, Danny Ketch. The cemetery is key to Ketch's origin story and it's someplace that he returns to often. The cemetery also has some ties to the Midnight Sons storyline, which is a group of superpowered people that Ketch and another Ghost Rider host, Johnny Blaze, started.

It might make some sense that the Midnight Sons would be involved in some iteration of a Ghost Rider series since one member of the group in the comics is definitely getting his own show on Disney Plus. While it's not yet known when it will arrive, a Moonknight series is coming, so it's possible Ghost Rider will make an appearance in that show before the character headlines his own series.

Marvel LLC filings have been known to tease what's happening with series on Disney Plus before. The LLC "Limbo Productions LLC" was filed for multiple seasons, eventually spilling the beans that Loki was getting a second season. Because Marvel hasn't confirmed that Midnight Sons or Ghost Rider is coming to Disney Plus anytime soon, for now, the LLC is a bit of a mystery, especially since the ties to the character are only guesses at this point.
